  • Who are these workshops suitable for?
    Workshops are perfect for absolute beginners, seasoned crafters, and children*. *Boho Saturday Sessions are better suited for children 8+. **Private Sessions are best for younger children, where crafts can be modified and more attention can be given. ***Monday & Tuesday Weekly Workshops, all ages are welcome.
  • How do I find out about upcoming workshops?

  • What is included in the workshop?
    All materials are provided, plus tea, coffee and homemade cake. Gluten and dairy free alternatives are happily available if requested. You are welcome to bring your own craft embellishments or foraged materials to make it more personal, but is not required.
  • Is there an age limit to your workshops?
    There is no age limit, crafting is for all ages! Each workshop can be easily modified to suit any age or ability, as a Private Session. Although Boho Saturday Workshops are for children 8+, I can happily arrange a Private Session to suit a younger clientele at a more suitable time, where more attention can be given. Monday & Tuesday Workshops, all ages are welcome.
  • What are your opening hours?
    Island CraftWorks is not a “shop” in the traditional sense of the word, as we are a craft studio. We are open by appointment only, but if you happen to be walking by, and see our lights on, please feel free to come in and say hello! We do have weekly events and you will find us open every Saturday, for Boho Saturday Craft, 10am-12pm, and every Tuesday, for Coffee, Chat & Craft, 10:30am-12pm. Feel free to pop in then! If you are making a special trip to Ryde to come check us out and enjoy a tour of the studio, please email to ensure availability. I’ll be sure to put the kettle on and save you a bit of cake!
  • Do you need any experience to attend a craft workshop?
    No experience is needed, absolute beginners are most welcome. Feel safe, and be guided step-by-step. Here at Island CraftWorks, we say crafting is about the journey, not the destination. There is no pressure to "get it right" and no one gets “left behind”. Crafting is about what brings you joy. You will leave with a tremendous sense of pride and something truly beautiful at the end of each workshop, I promise!
  • Where are you located?
    Island CraftWorks is located at 130 High Street, Ryde, PO33 2RJ. We are on the right, three shops in from the traffic lights at St. John’s Road, across the road from Outland.
  • Where can I park?
    If you are lucky, you can find parking nearby on the High Street, especially if attending an evening workshop. Alternatively, the closest car park is located at Victoria Street Car Park PO33 2PU.
  • Do you have wheelchair accessible seating?
    Yes, we can happily accommodate a wheelchair. Please let us know of any special requirements upon booking.
  • Does your craft studio have a toilet?
    Yes, the studio has toilet facilities. However, regrettably, it is not wheelchair accessible.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We all know life is unpredictable and can throw us a curveball every once in a while…and heaven forbid, we have to miss a workshop! In the unlikely event you can not attend a workshop, please take note of Island CraftWorks’s cancellation policy: Cancellations over a week’s notice, a full refund is issued. Cancellations within a week’s notice, a credit is issued. Cancellations on the day and no-shows, wil be charged in full, no refund or credit issued. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Do you do private individual and group bookings?
    Yes, I hold Private Sessions, with a minimum of two people. Group discounts are given for 5 people or more. To find out more, visit Private Sessions and Parties.
  • Do you do children’s parties?
    Yes, simply email gabbycraftworks@gmail.com for details on how to book your next workshop or party!
  • Can you travel to other parts of the island?
    Yes, I am happy to travel and bring the craft party to you, with a minimum booking of 10 people.
  • Do you host Birthday Parties for Children & Adults?
    Yes! Bespoke Crafty Birthday Parties are available at Island CraftWorks for any age! Have a look at our crafts on offer and get in touch to book!
  • Do you host crafty Hen-Dos, and other events?
    Yes! Get in touch today at gabbycraftworks@gmail.com, to find about the crafts on offer for Boho Wedding Craft Workshops and Team-Building Events. Discount for groups of 5 or more. Can travel to you on the island, with a minimum booking of 10.

  • How much are your workshops?
    Most Workshops are £20, with the exception of our Wreath & Seashell Craft Workshops, which are £25. Discounts given to group bookings of 5 or more. All materials are included, plus tea, coffee and homemade cake.
  • What is your preferred method of payment?
    Our preferred method of payment is by BACS bank transfer. Cash and card payments are accepted one week in advance.
